X-Mas 2022

Dear customers, partners, and suppliers,

Another year is drawing to a close. It was a very successful one for Cosmacon. We gained 72 new customers and developed and launched almost 500 cosmetic products for our customers in 2022. We are thus continuing the positive trend of the past years.

In order to cope with the dynamic growth, we had already moved with our staff to new premises in the city centre of Schenefeld the year before last. For over a year now, we have been working in over 280 square metres of office and laboratory space. It offers enough space, not only for our employees, but also for our modern equipment, such as our new 125-kilogram mixer – an important investment with which we can now produce cosmetic products on a large scale ourselves.

 

New business fields

In cooperation with a veterinarian, we have established the new category “animal cosmetics” on the market and will continue to expand our preliminary developments here.

We have also developed private label formulations that can be produced very quickly and at known cost with an individual fragrance and extract.

 

Our own Cosmacon seals

Sustainability and animal welfare are important principles that play an increasingly important role for consumers of cosmetic products – and thus also for our customers. However, having products certified as “vegan” or “animal-friendly” is a very time-consuming, lengthy, and costly process. In order to fulfil our customers’ desire for more independence from certifiers, we introduced two seals of our own as a word-picture trademark last year. After a critical review by a Cosmacon safety consultant, who checks all ingredients as well as the documents on the raw materials used, our customers can then label their cosmetic products as “vegan” or “good to animals”.

We can now also easily obtain internal certification that a cosmetic product is free of microplastics after a Cosmacon expert has carefully checked the products and ingredients. The “Clean Beauty” seal is also planned for the near future. Clean Beauty products are characterised by the fact that they do not contain ingredients that may be carcinogenic or allergenic, that may affect a person’s hormone balance or that may harm health in other ways.

 

Commitment to others

Sustainability also means standing up for each other and supporting each other – and not just at Christmas time. We at Cosmacon also think it is important to stand up for the community in which we live. And so, for example, we are committed to local sport here in Schenefeld. Cosmacon is a proud sponsor of the Bundesliga team BW 96 Schenefeld in floorball. Floorball is often referred to as indoor ice hockey and is one of the fastest team sports in the world. Floorball has been played in Schenefeld since 2007. The club has over 175 members. The 1st men’s team is currently playing in the first national league. We are eagerly following how far the team will go and are happy to be able to support them.

 

Another project close to our hearts is the commitment of “Viva con Agua”. The association works to ensure that people all over the world have access to clean water. Clean water also plays an important role in the cosmetics industry. It is an important ingredient in moisturisers, an active ingredient carrier and a key ingredient for vital, beautiful skin. Therefore, we are pleased to support Viva con Agua with a generous donation this year.

 

Next year, Cosmacon will celebrate its tenth anniversary. There will be a number of activities to mark this occasion, as well as new projects. These will include a sun protection series of their own, which can be easily implemented as a private label product.

 

The past ten years have been a complete success – and we owe this also to our many loyal customers, suppliers, and cooperation partners. For this we would like to express our heartfelt thanks.
