Facial cleansing
Facial cleansing is important because if a mix of sebum, dead skin cells and make-up residue remains on the skin overnight, it becomes isolated and cannot breathe.
In order to have a healthy glow and make the complexion look vital and rosy, the skin needs to be cleansed of everything that has accumulated during the day: Skin oil, dirt, micro-fine grime particles and make-up are removed during skin cleansing.
Skin secretions cannot drain away, bacteria have an easy time and pimples develop. Facial cleansing allows creams and serums to work much more effectively on the skin.
Facial cleansing: Deep cleansing in the evening
The best time to cleanse your skin is in the evening. The skin regenerates overnight; deep cleansing in the morning would destroy this process.
And: If you cleanse deeply in the evening, you only need clear water or a light tonic in the morning.
Facial cleansing: Which products are useful?
Facial cleansing can be carried out with various products, including:
– Cleansing foam or gel
– Cleansing milk or lotion
– Facial toner
– Gentle Cleansing oil or balm to remove waterproof make-up
– Cleansing wipes or pads
– Deep Cleansing brush or massager
Which product is best depends on the type of skin and individual needs. It is important to choose a product that suits your skin type and is gentle on the skin to avoid irritation.
Facial cleansing: Which active ingredients are best?
Depending on the skin type, the following active ingredients are recommended in facial cleansing products and may offer certain benefits:
– Salicylic acid: helps remove dead skin cells and improves skin texture.
– Glycolic acid: supports skin renewal and can help reduce age spots
– Lactic acid: supports skin renewal and can lighten the skin
– Enzymes (such as papain or bromelain): help remove dead skin cells and can improve skin texture
– Chamomile: soothes sensitive skin and can reduce inflammation
– Jojoba beads: these soft beads provide gentle, physical cleansing and effectively remove loosened skin cells
Using a cleansing brush for facial cleansing can help to cleanse and improve the skin. Choose the right brush as there are different types of cleansing brushes, such as rotating or oscillating brushes.
Use it gently to avoid irritation. The cleansing brush should be moved gently over the face and used regularly to get the best results.
